Grace Bay Club

"The Three Tenders", from left to right, CFO Vasco Borges, CEO/Developer Mark Durliat, and Chief Operating Officer Nikheel Advani.

Last evening we had the pleasure of attending an incredible party put on by the Grace Bay Club.  The property  has recently undertaken some significant changes and last night these improvements, to an already stunning resort, were revealed to the the Turks and Caicos community.

The first impression upon our entrance was this view; the adult pool area that I hardly recognized from a short time ago.  A small rounded pool was replaced with this long slender infinity pool, which now coincides with the more modern aesthetic the resort is leaning towards.  We started our evening here, picked up a cocktail, and nibbled on all of the many foods available, samples from the menus of the resorts restaurants.  Everything was presented impeccably but the tastiest temptations on my plate were the lobster and mango chutney appetiser and a creamy pasta that was worthy of third helpings.

Upon our arrival we were given a passport with a map of the property and six circled destinations to visit and have stamped.  Our first stops were to the Anani Spa, a chic white space with an abundance of earthy stone to create zen appeal, and the boutique, WOW!  Black faceted chandeliers hanging over a delicious display of cool whites, islandy brights and patterns, ultra chunky jewelry and embellished sandals.  This is a coming from a girl who gets heart palpitations over decor, not Dior, so just imagine the delight of the fashionistas.  This will definitely be the hottest new shop for the holidays.  Our tour then led us to the top level of the B building where we had an excellent balcony view of guests enjoying the starlit evening around the new pool.

Next we headed over to the The Estate where the most luxurious of rooms was presented.

Our final destination was Krave where a romantic table for two was set at the far end of this pool, lit mostly by a nearby fire pit.  Great party, great property, great thanks to the staff of the GBC for a flawless event.
